Joseph AlbertJoseph, a native Seattleite, has been enamored with Native American and First Nation cultures, folk art carvings and art since he was a child. Although not limiting himself, Joseph has elected to focus on carving Northwest Coast Native style art because of the uniqueness and beauty. Joseph provides carvings in wood and stone, in Northwest Native style and more, woodturnings, glass etching and metalsmithing. Internationally known, Joseph's works are in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico England, Germany and Turkmenistan. Joseph is a member of the Master Carver’s Association of Renton, Washington and has been one of the Coupeville Arts & Crafts Festival “artists in action” since 1998. He is also a member of the Whidbey Island Woodworkers Guild, the American Association of Woodturners, and a charter member of the Smithsonian Indian Museum. He has studied under some of the top carvers and has won a number of prize ribbons in northwest carving shows. Joseph’s works may be viewed in: the Penn Cove Gallery, Coupeville,
